Entering the University of Arizona gave me the first opportunity to work in a newsroom, where I contributed as a news desk writer. I later honed my editing skills as the editor for the Arts and Life desk. An internship at the Tucson Daily Star further expanded my experience, allowing me to discover the joy and simplicity of telling stories about the world around me.

I have been passionate about photography from a young age and I continue to capture real life moments, focusing on the authentic experiences and emotions of the people around me. Photography can capture that fleeting moment when a face changes or a movement pauses, revealing new sides of the world. Bringing that together with writing is the ultimate way to make a story come to life.

From poems to creative short stories to children’s books, a passion for writing has been with me since childhood. I am currently working on my first children’s book, which focuses on helping children learn to accept themselves.
